Maths
Coleshill Mathematicians
Maths is an everyday wonder all around us in the world. We are not born good or bad at Maths! Our mission is to show every child that they are instinctively a mathematician; leading children to be curious about shapes and patterns and ultimately love numbers not fear them!
We use the National Curriculum to guide progression in skills over time so that when our children leave us in Year 6, they are ready for the next step in their education at secondary school.

Calculation Policies
How do you do that these days?
Read our calculation policies to find out how we progress in calculating with each of the four operations, addition, subtraction, multiplication ad division.
Times Tables and Basic Skills
How do we make sure those basics are in place?
We have a comprehensive progression track for learning basic number facts; memorising times tables for rapid recall and then applying x tables facts for more complex arithmetic. See the progression here.
